I have a nephew who bought his starter home four years ago and chose it because it had a garage . . . . a garage that could hold a well known brand of workbench and could also accommodate his car, motor bikes, pedal bikes etc. etc. also, it had the bonus of an integral door from the garage into the house, with a very usefully equipped shower room on the way to the stairs to reach the kitchen and lounge.
When said nephew got engaged – his idyllic lifestyle of cars, mechanics, bikes, mechanics etc. – and more important matters replaced them. Like the snug lounge fitted out with cabinets to house all the record collection and having wardrobes fitted in with chest of drawers. A quick browse online put him in touch with a brilliant joinery company who magically turned bachelor pad into town house fit for a princess!
