I have some friends who have just sold one house in the south of france and immediately bought another – more or less the same week. They absolutely love it out there and despite a few qualms about the result of brexit, they decided to keep a bolthole there. After all, before the 1970s we used to travel abroad and back without too many problems. We will again! They did make some changes to the furnishings whilst doing this move. Someof the furniture came home to England – it’s beautiful and so typically french. They needed more to complete two different bedroom sets and a dining suite. Contacting their local cabinet maker and joiner was a fantastic move – they were able to reproduce the articles and you would never know they aren’t from an original set. Such quality and craftsmanship has to be searched for, promoted and fully appreciated!
